She described the contract cost as roughly $6,000. Commissioners authorized signing the contract.
Shannon also reported the resignation of Carla Marball, the part-time emergency preparedness coordinator at the health clinic; the position is grant funded. Commissioners agreed staff should repost and recruit for the role, and Shannon said the outgoing employee would assist with onboarding and grant paperwork for several months.
Other administrative items: commissioners accepted payroll claims totaling $374,008.26 earlier in the meeting and approved routine animal-control and animal-shelter reports and contract reviews.
Next steps: staff will execute the Guardian contract and file it in the county gateway/purchase records; they will coordinate with the health director and medical officer to confirm the job description before advertising the grant-funded vacancy.
