Mr. Bramble said kickoff meetings identified prime contacts, contractor obligations for safety programs and prevailing-wage documentation, and a schedule that targets substantial completion in late August.
Work on the elementary-school project includes removing hallway plenum ceilings after spring break and replacing classroom ceilings after the school year ends. Contractors will submit safety programs and prevailing-wage certifications to CHA; project meetings will be biweekly and move to in-person once work begins. Mr. Bramble said contractor staging areas and delivery protocols have been defined to avoid obstructing parent pickup and staff parking.
The Berks County Conservation District will coordinate preconstruction meetings for underground work and earth-control measures. The administration said some planned start dates may shift from March into May for soil-and-site coordination, but that the change should not delay overall completion. The committee thanked facilities staff and grounds crews for recent snow-response work.
