At its Jan. 26 meeting the Goodyear City Council cleared routine business items and a bingo license recommendation and noted that a police recognition item was pulled for a future meeting.
The council approved the consent agenda (items 2–10) 7–0; items included approval of minutes, two Series 12 restaurant liquor licenses, budget amendments, intergovernmental agreements for right‑of‑way assistance with Maricopa County, a mutual aid agreement among West Valley fire agencies, a resolution establishing the city’s 2026 state and federal legislative agenda, and authorization to submit the FY 2025 expenditure limitation report to the Arizona Auditor General. Council also voted 7–0 to recommend approval of a Class A bingo license for Pebble Creek Tuesday Bingo (games at the Pebble Creek Community Clubhouse) to the Arizona Department of Revenue. A recognition for Goodyear Police Department officer Michael Gilbalt/Gilbo for 20 years of service was pulled from tonight’s agenda and will return at a future meeting.
