Following an executive session on pending litigation and real estate, the Glynn County Board of Commissioners returned Feb. 5 and approved a settlement resolving civil actions CE25‑00059 and CE25‑00060 related to the Dungeness Drive Extension Road project. The settlement provides $353,000 in total compensation and requires the county to install a pedestrian crosswalk and signalization improvements at Dungeness Drive.
Commissioner Rafalski moved to approve the settlement; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously. County staff and the county attorney presented the settlement terms in executive session; the motion returned to the public record when the commission voted to approve the agreement and to approve executive session minutes for prior meetings.
Next steps: staff will execute the settlement agreement and proceed with the agreed pedestrian safety improvements.
