The State Governmental Affairs Committee voted to report favorably on an annual bill from the Legislative Council that incorporates laws passed during the last session into the committee’s reference volumes and corrects minor errors.
Senator Gavan, who presented the measure, said the bill "[basically adopts] all the laws that we passed in the last session, incorporating those into those black books that some of us have in our offices and correcting some mistakes." The sponsor cited a set of technical corrections, including an errata entry on page 3, line 66; an age-related citation discrepancy; and a typographical error in Title 28 that required correction.
Committee members moved and seconded a motion to report the bill favorably. The clerk completed a roll call during the motion; the clerk later announced the bill had received a favorable report. The committee proceeded to other business after the announcement.
The measure is a routine codification and errata bill drafted by the Legislative Council to keep the committee’s reference materials current. No amendments or substantive policy changes were discussed during the committee’s consideration.
The committee recorded brief closing remarks and continued to the next agenda item.
