The Lockport Township High School District 205 Board adopted three resolutions recognizing student achievement and program participation.
The first resolution acknowledged senior Joseph Cysnarski for earning a perfect 36 on the ACT and congratulated him for bringing distinction to his family and community. The board also adopted a resolution recognizing multiple seniors as National Merit commended students for 2026 and congratulated each named student for their achievement.
Separately the board read and adopted a resolution honoring Ethan Foss for selection to the Kizuna Cross Cultural online exchange and the global classmates summit; presenters said Foss was chosen from roughly 2,200 participants and was one of seven U.S. students selected for the Washington, D.C. summit. The board thanked program leader Carla Button and noted district plans to host visiting teachers and Japanese students in April 2026.
Board members and audience members offered applause and brief remarks praising the students and staff. No contentious discussion or opposition was recorded; the board moved to accept the resolutions and they passed by voice/roll call as part of the meeting’s opening recognitions.
