After executive session, council authorizes property acquisition and approves city manager pay adjustment

After recessing to executive session under Texas Government Code provisions for attorney consultation, real property deliberations and personnel matters, Pearland City Council returned and took two public actions.
Council voted 7–0 to direct staff to proceed with property acquisition for projects labeled 2505 and 2506 as discussed during the executive session. The motion came from Council Member Carbone and the council approved it by roll call.
Later in the agenda, council considered the annual evaluation of the city manager. Following discussion and a motion to adjust the manager’s compensation as discussed in executive session, council voted unanimously to authorize the adjustment.
Both motions were recorded in public session after the executive session closed; staff indicated procurement and compensation implementation steps will follow administrative procedures.
