Pearland — The City Council on Dec. 15 approved on first reading an amended planned-development zoning request that would allow a proposed 315-unit multifamily project on 15.0372 acres north of Magnolia Parkway.
Planning staff recommended the zone change from Office and Professional to Plan Development to accommodate three multifamily buildings with amenities including a clubhouse, pool, dog park and a pocket park. Planning staff told council the PD meets the approval criteria of the Unified Development Code and noted the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval 7–0.
