Chesterfield County staff presented a single bid to build a Veterans Park and the council approved the recommended award.
Miss Stanley said staff received one bid in response to the invitation to bid: DAP Contract, in the amount of $64,623.50. She said the project is funded in part by a PRT (Parks, Recreation and Tourism) grant, by $10,000 the council committed from accommodation-tax revenues and by funds described in the meeting as coming from 'Duke.'
Council moved and seconded acceptance of the recommendation and voted by voice to approve the award.
Next steps: Staff will proceed with contract administration and ensure grant conditions and council funding commitments are satisfied before construction work begins.
