Town finance staff reported that ClearGov has been in use for three years to provide a budgeting module not available in the town’s primary financial system and has replaced a spreadsheet‑heavy process previously consisting of more than 75 Excel workbooks each budget season. The software centralizes budgeting inputs and provides real‑time updates, which staff said has helped streamline the town’s budget assembly.
Council member Bensina moved to approve the contract and authorization for the town manager to execute the service order, citing the software’s benefits and the cooperative contract pricing; the motion was seconded and carried by voice vote.
