Developers seek one-year primary-plat extensions for Saint John Business Park and remaining Continental phase

Jack Slager of Shilling Development told the commission he is requesting one-year primary-plat extensions for two projects.
Slager said the Saint John Business Park — approved two years earlier — has not started construction because of utility delays related to NIPSCO power service; its primary plat expires Feb. 21, shortly after the next meeting. He asked the commission to extend the primary plat for another year so the project remains in conformance while utilities are resolved. Slager also requested an extension for the final phase of Continental, a small cul-de-sac of about nine lots that remains to be developed.
No formal action was recorded at the study session; Slager said he expects to request formal extension approval at the next meeting.
