Oshkosh launches new sustainability plan process; community survey open through June

Staff aims to bring the completed plan to City Council by December 2026. The planning-team application will help recruit residents and community organizations for a stakeholder group; staff suggested the board could nominate 2–3 SAB members to participate but cautioned about quorum rules when volunteers are SAB members.
Board members asked about survey timing and deadlines; staff said the community survey will likely remain open through June and that the planning-team application deadline falls in March. Members discussed outreach and amplification via SAB social channels and Oshkosh Media. Staff said Pale Blue Dot has prepared weekly posts and that staff will work with Oshkosh Media and the board to expand outreach.
