Board approves consent items across operations, education, personnel and policy; moves to executive session

Operations and Finance: A motion to move items 17.1 through 17.23 to the operations and finance section and approve the package passed on roll call; discussion included a PTA donation of park benches and a Grama Lake vestibule and window project that will let work begin sooner rather than later.
Education: The board moved and approved education items 13.1 through the listed subitems. A roll call recorded several affirmative votes, a reluctant yes on one subitem and a small number of no/abstentions on discrete subitems as called on the record.
Personnel: The personnel motion to approve items 15.1 through 15.28 (including hand-carry additions) passed. The board noted a retirement of a long-serving staff member, Mr. Milko, who will retire at the end of the year after 25 years.
Policy: The board approved policy items 19.1 through 19.3 on roll call.
After completing public business, the board moved into executive session at 8:14 p.m. to discuss personnel appointments and resignations, litigation, special education matters, negotiations and attorney-client privileged matters; the board stated no action would be taken in executive session.
