Council proclaims 93rd Lindsay Orange Blossom Festival, recognizes queen and attendants

The council proclaimed Saturday, April 5, 2025 through Sunday, April 13, 2025 as the 93rd annual Lindsay Orange Blossom Festival and presented certificates to the festival queen (Bernice Angel), her court and the honored couple, Jeff and Linda Muncher.
Councilwoman Lee read the proclamation text recognizing the festival’s long tradition, community leadership and the event’s role in celebrating local history. Several festival attendants introduced themselves and described their school activities and festival participation; Vanessa Martinez, representing part of the court, described graduating Lindsay High School in 2020 and her work as a geologist, and other students listed extracurricular activities and community service.
Council encouraged residents to attend parade and carnival events and noted festival-related public-safety and logistics planning already underway. The council offered congratulations and thanks to festival organizers and volunteers.
