"I, Mayor Robert Morgan, wish to express my full confidence and deep appreciation for our city administrator," the mayor read during the meeting. Council leadership and other members echoed that endorsement and thanked Templemeyer for work on planning, fiscal management and interdepartmental coordination.
Council members also shared seven pieces of constructive feedback recorded in the appraisal, including suggestions to act sooner on code violations and to ensure that information provided to council and the public is complete and consistent. The mayor and council framed those items as opportunities for improved communication rather than fundamental performance failures.
Council comments noted that Templemeyer’s leadership has helped position the city for growth and that maintaining a master concept plan improves the city’s ability to pursue grants. No disciplinary actions or changes in employment terms were announced; the council said the written appraisal will remain in personnel records.
