The board approved the bridge match agreement by roll call.
A related county bridge match agreement to replace County Bridge X804 and remove County Bridge C‑262 carries an estimated total project cost of $1,029,500; commissioners approved that project as well.
The board also approved procurement and maintenance contracts: an award to Tim Sysco Construction LLC for concrete box culverts and pipe culverts in the amount of $367,099.10 for a package of north‑end projects; and a contract with "Maxwell Procs Products Incorporated" for asphaltic joint sealant supplies not to exceed $79,750, which county staff said supports aggressive pavement maintenance efforts.
Personnel and administrative approvals included setting the salary for Larry Rolink as Bailiff 2 at $82,630 (effective Feb. 23, 2026) and approving two assistant public defender hires at $113,000 each (Melissa Wendling effective 02/19/2026; Treg Lana effective 06/11/2026). The board also approved a compensatory time agreement for Richard Edwards (Engineering Tech II) and a liability waiver allowing a certified therapy dog, Liberty, to provide comfort services at the youth services center.
Board members approved the items by routine motions and roll calls. Several presenters, including Dingman, emphasized that grouping similar projects and securing state matching funds has helped the county lower long‑term maintenance costs and accelerate infrastructure improvements.
