Beatrice City Council voted unanimously to approve the consent agenda and adopted Ordinance No. 26‑4 to plat a landmark addition in the city’s industrial park.
The consent agenda covered routine administrative actions and disbursements: approval of the agenda and minutes; receipt of meeting notices and materials; the treasurer's report with claims totaling $113,970.42; Boswell reported claims of $28,753.05; Board of Public Works reported claims of $1,474,214.24; and pay requests to Building Crafts Inc. for the WPC Grit Improvements Project (pay request No. 4 for $147,785.83 and No. 5 for $147,729.60). The council also approved multiple resolutions, including lease agreements and contract amendments listed on the agenda.
Mister MacLean moved the consent agenda; the council approved the motion by voice vote, 7–0.
On the ordinance, council members proceeded to give Ordinance No. 26‑4 its three readings by number only and voted to adopt it. City staff said the plat covers a parcel in the industrial park that is under contract to Landmark Snacks and that the platting will clear the way for the company to begin construction once statutory requirements and the platting process are complete.
No public hearings were held on the items, and the council moved on to other business following the approvals.
