The El Paso County Planning Commission voted unanimously Feb. 5 to adopt a 2026 sunshine law statement to be included in the meeting record.
An unidentified commissioner moved "that we vote to adopt the sunshine law statement," and the motion received a second and unanimous approval from members present. Planning Director Megan Harrington said the verbiage will be attached to the official record.
The vote was procedural and did not change any pending land‑use recommendations or calendar items. The commission took the action at the start of its business to satisfy the statutory/administrative requirement to note the sunshine law statement in the record.
