Council first authorized advertising for the test and to purchase the test materials so the borough can start accepting applications. Later in the meeting the council voted to set the applicant charge at $40; the motion was seconded and carried on voice vote.
Council members discussed logistics including taking applications with a check and setting testing criteria through the civil service commission. Staff said details on proctoring and facility arrangements (Abington Heights administration building was cited as a prior proctor site) still needed confirmation.
