During a morning session of the Government Operations & Military Affairs committee, members reviewed several draft alcohol provisions and took informal action on how the bills will proceed.
The chair asked whether members were comfortable including H655 in the omnibus; after members expressed no objections the chair stated, "Seeing no objections," and the committee signaled inclusion of H655 in the omnibus drafting list.
The panel also identified H647 (tasting rules), H672 (self-distribution barrel threshold) and H832 (permit thresholds and timelines) for additional testimony. Committee members requested that staff obtain the studies and supporting sections cited by public-health witness Mariel Matthews and that Division of Liquor and Lottery staff and other stakeholders be invited to answer enforcement and implementation questions.
