Elmsford officials announce recreation programs, post school calendar and report January public-safety call volumes

At a Village of Elmsford meeting, the recreation department announced the Elms Ward Presidents’ Day Basketball Clinic for grades 3–6 on Monday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. at Hamilton High School and said registration is free at nextlevelathletics.us.
The recreation representative also said Elmsford residents may buy discounted $5 tickets for the Westchester Knicks vs. Cleveland Charge at the Westchester County Center on Saturday, Feb. 21; tickets will be sold at Village Hall beginning Wednesday, Feb. 4, while supplies last. Camp registration is scheduled to open Feb. 27, officials said, with program dates and fees posted on the Village of Elmsford website.
Officials reported public-safety activity from January: the fire department responded to 44 calls and hosted its annual "Firemanics" seminar the prior weekend, and the department recognized Father Augustine for his service as the fire department chaplain. The village said EMS handled 70 calls in January.
The meeting also covered administrative updates: the IT department is continuing daily operations and projects, and village leaders said the administration is working on the 2026 school budget. The Elmsford Union Free School District 2026–27 calendar was posted to the EUFSD website; village officials noted the school year will begin Wednesday, Sept. 2, before the Labor Day holiday and asked residents to plan vacations accordingly.
Officials did not take formal action on these announcements during the meeting.
