District announces bond forums and school events; live-streaming to be available
Summary
District officials announced bond forums ahead of a March 5 bond vote, confirmed live-streaming of forums, and student representatives highlighted Clark High School’s 'Hello, Dolly' performances and East Meadow school activities.
District presenter Mister Rosner urged the public to attend upcoming bond forums ahead of the March 5 bond vote, saying the third of four forums is scheduled for tomorrow at home-zone elementary schools (7 a.m.–9 p.m.), there is a Salisbury forum at 6 p.m., and a final forum will be Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. He also encouraged attendance at Clark High School's production of Hello, Dolly, with performances on Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 7 at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.
"There's another forum tomorrow night here at Salisbury at 6PM," Rosner said, and he noted the district will have a full team at the Feb. 26 forum "to answer any further questions in reference to our bond." The chair confirmed the Salisbury forums will be live-streamed so residents who cannot attend in person may watch.
Student representatives used the meeting to publicize school events and achievements: the Clark student previewed the 'Battle of the Classes' on Feb. 25 and the drama department’s performances; the East Meadow student summarized recent midterms, ongoing athletics seasons, and the cheer team's trip to nationals in Florida.
