The East Meadow Union Free School District board held a first reading of revisions to Policy 45-26, the district’s computer-use and acceptable-use policy. Mr. Russo said the policy is an existing one and that the proposed revisions address how the district will safeguard student data privacy rights. "This is an existing policy and the revisions address how the district will safeguard student data privacy rights," Russo said. The board scheduled a second reading of the policy for March 4, giving the public additional time to review and comment before the board votes.
No substantive debate or amendments were recorded during the first reading segment. Board members were told they will have time to review the proposed language before the March 4 session.
