Williamson County committee delays vote on $70.85 million bond authorization for possible new courthouse

Circuit Court Judge David Veale, speaking during citizen comments, urged the committee to pursue a new facility, saying the county's existing courthouse is insufficient. “To call them lacking would be an understatement,” Veale said, describing cramped courtrooms, clerks working in hallways and only two jury trial courtrooms for criminal matters.
