Transit Administrator Ash Beecher described five fixed routes and an app that provides GPS-based real-time tracking. "You can plug in your location, your destination, and the app will tell you exactly where you need to be, what time you need to be there," Beecher said, noting riders can plan trips and see vehicle locations.
The county recently added two stops on Route 3 (the Stewart route) at Guy Davis Field and Stewart Middle to provide student-athletes with transportation to practices. Beecher said the county hopes to see a ridership boost from those added stops.
Marty offers a door-to-door ADA paratransit service for riders whose disabilities prevent them from using fixed-route buses; eligible riders may apply and, once approved, can call the Marty center to schedule trips.
Hosts also tested the front-mounted bike rack; Beecher cautioned about safety but confirmed many riders now combine cycling with bus travel. County officials said they are tracking demand and may further refine stops and service hours as usage patterns evolve.
