A Guilford High School senior, John Spiritisano, criticized how class rankings were calculated after first‑semester transcripts were posted. He said running‑start students who have not attended the high school full time were included in rankings, changing local students' ranks and scholarship prospects. "If PowerSchool is unable to separate running start students, why did the administration suggest they would be removed?" he asked, urging administrative follow-up.
Several speakers addressed teacher compensation and staffing. Christina Rudolph, a parent and longtime community member, said Rockford teachers make less than neighboring districts and described district reliance on staffing agencies that she said cost the district more while failing to provide stable instruction.
