Hillsboro School District (Hillsboro SD 1J) board members approved the district—s Student Investment Act (SIA) grant agreement and a series of routine agenda items during the regular meeting that followed the budget work session.
The SIA presentation described four categories of spending — class size reduction, instructional time, well-rounded learning and student health and safety — and staff explained minor shifts between those categories for the next biennium. Scott Harrison and integrated-program staff said the SIA allocation for the district was in the mid-to-high tens of millions; staff described the 2024–25 SIA allocation as roughly $19.5 million for one of the cited years and said forecasted biennium totals are about $26–27 million, while noting the presentation materials include the full line-item breakout on the district website.
