Kathy, presenting the measure, said the city needs a mower, a side-by-side and maintenance-shed improvements totaling $46,424.52, and requested an additional $116,000 toward the property purchase. “The total budget amendment of $164,424.52,” she said, “will come from your capital improvement money that you've set aside for capital improvements.” Council members voted by unanimous consent to consider and then to finally approve the amendment.
According to Kathy, the city had previously approved about $135,000 toward the property; adding the new $116,000 and the equipment allocation results in the stated total. The amendment was presented and voted on during the meeting after discussion at the prior work session. The record shows the amendment was adopted with all votes in favor.
The council did not attach additional conditions in the meeting minutes. Next procedural steps (such as recording the property purchase in deed records or executing procurement for the equipment) were not specified during the council discussion.
