The Passenger Vehicle for Hire Board met Feb. 5 and approved its Jan. 5 meeting minutes and two driver-permit renewals, the board chair said.
At the meeting the board heard the transportation inspector's report noting zero new driver permits and two permit renewals: one for Mercury Taxi and one for Nougat Taxi. Board members also confirmed that annual fees and paperwork for horse-drawn carriage operators had been paid by Chattanooga Carriage Company.
A board member moved to approve the permit renewals; the motion was seconded by the chair and carried by voice vote. The chair called for the vote, and several members responded "Aye." No dissenting votes were recorded on the audio record.
The board recorded no old business and no additional new business on the consent items. After the consent actions, the meeting shifted to a discussion of a separate agenda item about rate recommendations to the city council.
