At its Oct. 7 meeting the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust heard a quarterly progress report on the South Canadian wastewater treatment plant improvements project (STO 138).
Project manager Harrison Dunlap said the engineer is STV and the contractor is Crossland Heavy. The current construction contract is $190 million; approved construction paid to date is about $146 million, representing roughly 76% of contract dollars and about 70% of scheduled time. Dunlap described recent work: site backfill, sidewalks, cable-tray installation for SCADA wiring, installation of major process equipment, completed structures for clarifiers and the digestion/thickening building, and canopy and filter-complex installations. He said the team is preparing to energize the new electrical loop under an agreement with OG&E (approved by council earlier the same day) and to start up multiple diesel generators as part of initial plant commissioning.
Dunlap invited trustees for a site tour once paving is complete. Trustees offered brief positive remarks and recorded a motion to receive the update; the transcript shows the motion passed by voice vote but does not list a roll-call tally.
