"That'll help with the draining on your streets," the speaker said, explaining the vac truck will clear mud and debris from storm drains that are filled to grates and contributing to standing water.
The speaker also said, following due diligence by the administrator and finance team, the village paid its account with Mead Electric and that some streetlights on King Drive that have been out will be fixed "over the next week or 2 weeks." Describing local impacts, the speaker cited an area in Dorchester with "like a lake over there" and warned that snow combined with gushing water had created hazardous driving conditions. He closed by praising the public works crew: "They work hard... Sometimes they're the, unsung heroes."
