John Poor chosen to fill Milton City Council Position 5 after interviews and executive session

Poor described experience in criminal-justice–adjacent work and earlier leadership in student technology at the University of Washington Tacoma, where he chaired a funding committee and managed projects.
Council members praised the breadth of applicants and thanked everyone who applied. The mayor announced the majority selected John Poor and invited him to sign the appointment paperwork and prepare to be sworn in.
