The Roanoke County Board of Supervisors on May 28 recognized Caitlin Gills, administrative and marketing manager for the county library system, for receiving the Virginia Public Library Directors Association outstanding website award in the county’s population category.
Jim Blanton, director of library services, described Gills’s contributions to the library’s website, social media, event registration and outreach. Board members praised her initiative and community engagement; Gills thanked the board and staff for support.
The recognition was presented during the meeting’s proclamations and awards section and included brief congratulations from board members.
