The Village of Itasca on Nov. 19 approved the consent agenda and voted to pay bills totaling $1,120,989.46.
Mayor read four consent items: a $22,000 task order to Hitchcock Design Group for Orchard and Maple Streetscape preliminary design; acceptance of the low bid from Kim Construction ($142,780) for the 2024 sanitary manhole rehabilitation program; acceptance of the low bid from Performance Pipelining, Inc. ($126,556) for the cured-in-place pipeline program; and approval of a quitclaim deed and final pay request to the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority for village-requested enhancements along the I‑390 Corridor ($140,774.02). The consent agenda was approved on a motion and roll call.
Trustee Powers then moved approval of payment of bills totaling $1,120,989.46. He highlighted a $214,000 payment to the DuPage Water Commission, ~$60,000 to Constellation New Energy for power (with wastewater plant costs near $55,000), and payroll and retirement/insurance line items. The bill payments motion was seconded and approved on roll call.
The board also approved administrative items including appointment of a delegate and alternate to the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA), purchase of tail-coverage insurance retroactive to May 1, 2022, and adoption of a voluntary administrative order in consent with the U.S. EPA related to POTW management and nonresidential user identification.
