Westwood Heights accepts secretary resignation, elects Jennifer Johnson and casts MASB ballot

The board accepted a secretary resignation, elected Jennifer Johnson as board secretary and voted to cast the district's MASB ballot for James Johnson during the Feb. 4 meeting.
At the Feb. 4 meeting the Westwood Heights Board of Education accepted the resignation of board secretary Ahmed Royce and proceeded with nominations and election for the open secretary position.
Board members moved to accept the resignation and then nominated Jennifer Johnson for board secretary. After discussion and a voice vote the nomination was supported and the chair announced the motion carried.
Separately, the board considered its official ballot for the Michigan Association of School Boards Board of Directors. Miss Roberts moved that the district cast its ballot in favor of James Johnson; after brief discussion the board voted to support James Johnson and the district’s official ballot was cast accordingly.
