Council tables Alconon Veil Center site plan after driveway‑spacing, safety and due‑process concerns

Council discussed liability concerns if turn movements occur at closely spaced driveways.
At least one motion was made and seconded to require the applicant to apply for a variance and to hold a public hearing on the variance. The applicant’s representative asked the council to table the resolution so the owner could meet with village staff (including the village engineer and zoning administrator) to explore shared‑driveway solutions or other access refinements. The council voted to place the item on the table; the time on the applicant’s review clock was paused while staff and the applicant work through access alternatives.
No formal approval or denial of the site plan occurred tonight; the matter will return after the applicant meets with staff and clarifies entrance/egress options and any variance application.
