Andrea, the staff presenter, confirmed that language was the only addition and that it would exempt A‑1 properties; county counsel explained that packet materials included a clean revision and a track‑change version where the underline indicates the added text.
No members of the public spoke on the item during the public hearing. After discussion the board approved the text amendment by show of hands; the chair announced the motion carried. The amendment as approved will change the permitting requirement so that properties zoned A‑1 no longer require the private hobby kennel special‑use permit under Section 328.02.
