Martin County LPA approves minutes and elects officers for 2026

The Martin County Local Planning Agency opened its Feb. 5 meeting by approving minutes of the Oct. 2 meeting after a motion and second, with the vote recorded as unanimous.
The board then accepted nominations for 2026 officers. An unnamed member nominated the sitting chair, who accepted the nomination and remained chair. James (Jim) was nominated and confirmed as vice chair. The board also confirmed that the LPA holds one seat on the Affordable Housing Committee; James volunteered for that role and was appointed. The chair noted the Affordable Housing Committee meets quarterly and that there is a meeting next week.
The meeting proceeded to new business after those organizational items.
