The Committee on Parole decided Feb. 4 not to revoke the parole of Peyton Porsch after reviewing a complaint arising from an incident at a comedy show. Board member Mister Prater said the evidence did not meet the threshold to revoke but issued a stern warning about alcohol and avoiding situations that may create the appearance of impropriety.
Porsch said he was intoxicated and that any contact with his girlfriend was misinterpreted; he denied choking or striking her and said the charge was ultimately dropped by the district attorney. His mother, Linda Fiesner, testified she believes her son is not an abuser and emphasized his employment and parenting since release.
Panelists noted the DA dropped criminal charges but said the board must still assess whether parole conditions were violated. Prater and other members concluded a revocation was not warranted but urged strict sobriety and compliance with parole terms.
