The La Canada Unified School District governing board voted Tuesday to adopt CSBA-recommended board bylaw 9005 on governance standards and to approve the consent agenda, which included an ESS contract addendum to continue the district’s superintendent search.
Superintendent Wendy noted CSBA updated the recommended governance bylaw in September 2025 and presented it for adoption as a complement to the board’s existing code of ethics. A motion to approve bylaw 9005 was made and the chair called the vote; the motion passed.
The board then moved and approved the consent agenda, which Wendy had said contained an ESS contract addendum to support the superintendent search process. No additional discussion or roll-call detail was recorded in the presentation; the transcript records the votes as passed during the meeting.
Next steps: Board staff will incorporate bylaw 9005 into the district’s governance documents and the superintendent search process will continue under the ESS engagement.
