Lakemore council approves appropriations ordinance, accepts bills and routine reports

The Village of Lakemore council approved Ordinance 1921 on Feb. 2, 2026, amending appropriations for the 2026 fiscal year and approved a package of routine financial items including prior meeting minutes, purchase orders and bills.
During the reading, the clerk listed specific appropriations and revenue adjustments included in the ordinance: an increase in the general fund of $8,256.75 for fire monitors (Stryker); BJA grant fund adjustments ($1,120); COPS FAST fund entries ($2,800); fire donation fund amounts for address signs ($1,007.26); and principal on the police facility fund of $5,603.85 for a renovation project. The ordinance text declared the measure an emergency so it could take effect immediately.
Earlier in the meeting council approved routine items by roll call: acceptance of minutes from the Jan. 20 public hearing and council meeting; approval of purchase orders from Jan. 17–30, 2026 totaling $11,008.59; and payment of bills totaling $288,798.21. Council also accepted the January 2026 DOPS delinquency report as presented.
