Deb Nelson, administrator for Vision West MD, presented the nonprofit's annual report and a regional plan update to the Dunn County commission.
Nelson said membership increased by about 25% year-over-year and highlighted programming such as the behavioral health summit. She also announced that the Bush Foundation committed a $75,000 operational grant to Vision West and that an ecosystem grant opportunity is expected in the coming weeks. "The Bush Foundation gave us $75,000," Nelson said.
Nelson asked county officials to consider attendance at Vision West's consortium meeting and noted the organization covers a 20-county region. She thanked Dunn County for long-term support and said some funds will be used to continue digitization and operational activities.
Commissioners asked about board openings and were invited to the annual consortium meeting. Nelson said the regional plan update was approved by Vision West's board and will be ratified by the consortium next week.
