A district representative told the council that Beaumont ISD’s industry-based certification attainment now matches the state of Texas at 35%. The remarks also said the district exceeds state averages for Level 1 and Level 2 certifications, reporting 8.1% locally compared with 1.1% statewide.
Council members were also told that Dr. Donna Prudhom was named the 2026 national administrator of the year by the Association for Career and Technical Education. The announcement was said to have been made at the ACTE National Conference in Nashville, Tenn., in December. Speakers framed these items as evidence of program growth, strengthened industry partnerships and expanded student pathways.
