The Solon City Council on Feb. 2 confirmed a series of mayoral and council appointments.
Mayor announced Peter Brasi for civil service; Councilmember Plunas moved to accept the appointment and the motion passed by roll call. The mayor also announced Tim Krzyzewski as a new planning commission member and Kim Sutton as planning commission chair; a motion by Mister Bentley to approve those appointments carried by vote. The council then approved the roster for the Charter Review Commission with the following ward representatives: Ward 1 Michelle Nuffau; Ward 2 Rick Cinelli; Ward 3 John Cinderack; Ward 4 Beth Kalinowski; Ward 5 Brad Nidus; Ward 6 Phil Mann; Ward 7 Mark Carmody. The mayor’s two at-large appointees are Matt Rosner and Teresa Slowy Whittam.
Council members expressed appreciation for those who agreed to serve and thanked residents and staff who support city commissions. The actions were recorded as motions with roll call votes in the meeting transcript.
