Tech Ridge developer previews container park, trail network and airplane monument

Isaac Barlow, managing partner for Techbridge, presented a substantive update on the Tech Ridge development, including near-term occupancy, public amenities and a proposed historical monument.
Barlow said the container-style business park will look and perform like office space and is expected to host tenants (including Sonos and Busy Busy) beginning in October, initially housing about 170 employees with potential capacity up to approximately 220. He described a multiuse trail and a large set of steps (approximately 200–350 steps, 12 feet wide, with handrails and lighting) that will connect Tech Ridge—randed trails to valley-level paths and public parks; staff and the city will connect the remaining trail segments.
Barlow also described acquiring a historic airplane formerly associated with former County Commissioner Dean Cox and sheriff aviation operations; Tech Ridge plans to display the airplane as a community monument in "Runway Park," assemble archival material about the aircraft, and may propose a county role in the monument commission. Barlow said final details will be returned to the commission for further discussion.
