Elaine Gidler sworn in as new Utah State Parks board member

Elaine Gidler was sworn in at the Utah State Parks Board meeting on Feb. 8, repeating the official oath to support the constitutions of the United States and the State of Utah and to discharge the duties of office with fidelity. "I, Elaine Gidler ... do solemnly swear," Gidler said as she took the pledge during the meeting.
Chair Corey Graham welcomed Gidler and thanked her for joining the board. Board members applauded the appointment and offered brief remarks of congratulations.
The swearing-in took place near the start of the meeting; the board then proceeded to routine procedural business including approval of the agenda and minutes. The next scheduled board meeting was discussed and tentatively set for May with a field trip on the preceding day.
