The Pinetop Lakeside Town Council adopted resolution number 26‑1799 to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with Navajo County for court collections and criminal justice services.
Christie, the staff presenter, told the council the IGA had already taken effect for fiscal year 25/26 and said, "the town's portion for these criminal justice fees and, court collections fees was 16,570." She said she compared the town’s amount to other towns, noting Snowflake and Taylor had lower listed amounts (Snowflake cited as 9,455 in the transcript) and that fees collected are distributed across state and county programs. Christie added that, even after the town’s annual payment, the town continues to bring in revenue from collections.
Councillor Heisler moved to adopt the resolution; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously. The transcript records a unanimous voice vote by raised hands but does not list individual vote tallies.
