Resident urges council to revisit dog‑park plan, cites ADA parking as major cost

"What we do agree on is that the cost of a parking lot that meets an ADA requirement is the largest expense," Kale said, adding that parking needs and public support had been factors in turning down the original dog‑park proposal.
Kale said the Citizens Dog Park Committee met recently and identified five major concerns, and recommended that the town form a committee — a low‑cost first step — to produce a comprehensive plan over the next two years that could include, but would not be limited to, a dog park. He also said a temporary dog park could be constructed and later removed or repurposed if future plans change.
The council did not take action on the dog‑park proposal during the meeting; after public comment the body moved on to routine business.
