The Moore City Council voted unanimously Feb. 2 to approve rezoning application RZ1055 and Ordinance 50‑26 to allow Wild Side Tattoo, care of Kayla Miller, to operate a tattoo studio in the New City Shopping Center under a special‑use permit.
Planning staff said the site is in a regional center under the Envision Moore 2040 plan and that public water and sewer serve the property. Because the use is a tattoo studio, the applicant must obtain a special‑use permit; staff noted the permit is issued to the business, runs with ownership and may be suspended or revoked for cause. The permit's distance requirements — including a 1,000 foot buffer from existing tattoo studios and certain adult entertainment or pawn shop uses, and a 300 foot buffer from single‑family homes — were met at the proposed site, staff said. The planning commission recommended approval 6–0.
Council moved, seconded and approved the ordinance and permit by unanimous roll call vote.
