Lincoln County approves incentive grants for HYDAC and Active Concepts

She said HYDAC Cooling Systems plans $2,100,000 in machinery and property improvements over two years, with $1.5 million qualifying under the county's industrial incentive policy. Under the level-2 grant as described by Mullen, the county will provide $5,517.97 per year after taxes for five years if the company meets its investment commitments. The board closed the public hearing (no one signed up to speak) and approved the grant on a motion by Commissioner Susina.
Mullen then described Active Concepts, which she said would invest $29,000,000 over two years with $26,900,000 qualifying for incentives under county policy. For that project the county would provide a level-4 grant of $127,519.45 per year after taxes for eight years. With no public commenters signed up, the board approved that grant on a motion by Commissioner Patton.
Both approvals were presented as business retention and expansion actions intended to keep and grow existing industry in Lincoln County. Commissioners offered no substantive amendments during debate and voted on each motion by voice. The county will distribute the incentive payments after the companies meet the eligibility requirements described in the county's industrial incentive policy.
What happens next: county staff will track eligible investment and annual tax certificates as required by the incentive agreements and administer the yearly payments if the companies meet the conditions described by staff.
